Paraphrase Hass & Flower(1988) are suggesting that the authors are trying to express an idea that the readers are not understanding. Notes: -There is more meaning to the text than what is written down. -Suggestive thinking introduces is a good basis for rhetorical reading. -Many students don't understand the deeper meaning of the context that they are reading.
